QUORUM REPORT – Early on, both Oliverson and Roberts appear to be prohibitive via their fundraising prowess

Two Republicans running for the Texas House seats being vacated by Rep. Allen Fletcher, R-Cypress, and Rep. Patricia Harless, R-Spring, said on Tuesday that they’ve raised some serious cash.

Dr. Tom Oliverson, who’s running for Fletcher’s seat, said he’s brought in $120,000 ahead of the campaign finance report filing deadline with $215,000 cash on hand.

Kevin Roberts, the CEO of The Lanier Law Firm, is running for the seat being vacated by Rep. Harless.

Roberts’ campaign manager, Ethan Crisp, said his report to the Ethics Commission will show broad financial support.

“Since we launched the campaign June 9, the campaign has raised over $150,000 in contributions from dozens of contributors, and will show almost $160,000 cash on hand,” Crisp said. “The campaign continues to meet and exceed its fundraising goals, making Kevin the clear front runner in the race.”
